About The Position

As a software engineer intern at SK Hynix Memory Solution, you will contribute to storage test software development and validation. Software design and development are based on industry-standard specifications and internal firmware algorithms. The internship lasts six months, is 40 hours per week, and is based in San Jose. The expected start date is January 2027. Compensation is $35–$45 per hour.

Requirements

• Recently graduated or expected to graduate by December 2026 with a bachelor's or master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proficiency in software programming, including C/C++, scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and Node.js.
• Knowledge of data structures and algorithms, source control, databases, operating systems, networking basics, testing, and debugging.
• Hands-on experience debugging software.
• Good oral and written communication and documentation skills.
• Self-motivated, a good team player, agile, and a quick learner.

Responsibilities

• Develop, code, and debug software tools using programming languages and technologies such as C++, JavaScript, and Python.
• Design and implement storage test tools, including software design, libraries, and user-facing APIs.
• Automate tasks and processes such as builds and deployments, test integration, and performance indicator generation.
• Test and validate the functionality, performance, and scalability of developed tools.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, including user manuals, design documents, and release notes.
• Use AI-assisted approaches for software development and documentation.
