About The Position
As a Software Engineer Intern at SingleStore, you will spend 12 weeks working on one or more engineering teams, contributing to real-time technology in a rapid production environment. You will own projects end-to-end and contribute throughout the product life cycle, with work continuously deployed into production during the internship. You will collaborate across small engineering teams and with business teams such as product, marketing, and sales. Engineers will mentor and support your professional development. The work includes writing new features and testing software, while developing an understanding of the product and the business. SingleStore delivers a cloud-native distributed SQL database that unifies transactions and analytics to support data-intensive applications and real-time customer experiences. The company is venture-backed and headquartered in San Francisco, with offices in Seattle, Lisbon, and Bangalore. Requirements
- Be enrolled in a B.S. degree program in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Have a deep understanding of computer science fundamentals.
- Have strong programming skills in C++ or C.
- Be passionate about building highly reliable software.
- Have a firm grasp of algorithms and data structures.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of core computer science fundamentals, particularly operating systems, distributed systems, concurrency, multithreading, and server architectures.
Responsibilities
