Software Engineer Intern (Winter 2027)
About The Position
At HeyGen, the mission is to make visual storytelling accessible to all by building technology that helps more people create videos and reach, captivate, and inspire audiences. The Software Engineer Intern will join a team developing applications powered by HeyGen’s AI research and work on important product features across frontend, backend APIs, and ML models. Interns may join teams in AI Research, Infrastructure, or Product, with openings in California, Toronto, and Singapore. The tech stack includes TypeScript, React, Python, and Go. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or be within one year of graduation.
- Previous internship experience in software development.
- Experience with React, JavaScript, Python, or related technologies.
- Familiarity with RESTful API development.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Familiarity with database systems such as MySQL.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and deploy robust, scalable, and optimized HeyGen platform features across frontend and backend components.
- Collaborate with UX/UI designers, product managers, and other engineering teams to deliver a holistic product experience.
- Monitor platform performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement timely solutions.
- Help ensure the platform remains updated, secure, and compliant with current industry standards.
