About The Position

The Software Engineer Intern will join Docusign’s Orchestration organization on the AI Assisted Review team in Seattle. The intern will help build agentic tools that enhance a contract redlining assistant in a Microsoft Word plugin and integrate it with other Docusign products, including Agreement Manager, Agreement Desk, and CLM. The work uses contextual signals from these products to help users analyze and redline contracts before signing, share knowledge across the contract lifecycle, and learn customer negotiation patterns from executed contracts. The internship lasts 3.5 months and is an individual-contributor role reporting to the Sr. Manager, Machine Learning. The intern will collaborate with the team on feature design and implementation, integrations, testing, debugging, feature-flagged releases, and responsible use of LLMs, RAG, and agentic tools. The role also includes planning and tracking internship work, participating in code reviews, and presenting the project, technical design, results, and lessons learned to the Orchestration organization. This is a hybrid position based at the Seattle hub, with an expected in-office presence of at least two days per week as described in the job designation. The internship program is described elsewhere in the posting as 12 weeks. Pay in Washington is $38–$45 per hour. Applicants must already be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time, permanent basis without current or future sponsorship.
