About The Position

The CLM Workflow team within Docusign’s B2B organization builds Workflow Designer capabilities that help customers automate complex agreement processes at scale. Based in Chicago, Illinois, the Software Engineer Intern will contribute to an Expression AI Assistant that helps workflow authors understand, debug, and optimize expressions used in Workflow Designer. The intern will collaborate with engineering and product partners to analyze real-world workflows, prototype an assistant panel in the expression builder, and deliver features that improve author productivity and workflow performance. This is a three-month internship and an individual-contributor role reporting to the Director, Software Engineering. The intern will contribute to an 8–12 week project roadmap spanning early research and design, feature implementation, user feedback, and documentation of best practices and future extensibility. The role is hybrid, with at least two days per week in an office; the weekly in-office expectation may vary by team. The listed hourly base salary for Illinois, Colorado, Massachusetts, and Minnesota is $38–$42. Applicants must already be authorized to work permanently in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
