About The Position
CONSULTFIZ LATAM, a fully owned subsidiary of Confiz LLC, is seeking an experienced Software Engineer in Test (SEIT) / QA Automation Engineer to support enterprise applications for Supply Chain and Warehouse Management systems for a Fortune 500 client. The role focuses on designing, developing, and maintaining automated testing solutions to ensure software quality, reliability, and performance. It is 100% remote and open only to candidates currently residing in Mexico who are legally authorized to work there. Advanced conversational English is required, and candidates must be able to join within 15–30 days. The position calls for strong QA automation expertise, practical programming skills, analytical thinking, and knowledge of software quality practices. Candidates may have experience with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright, and are expected to adapt to new technologies. Professional experience with every technology listed is not required.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience in Software Quality Assurance, Test Automation, Software Engineering in Test, or related roles.
- Strong hands-on QA automation experience, including designing, developing, and maintaining automated test scripts and frameworks.
- Experience with Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar automation frameworks.
- Solid programming fundamentals and coding skills, including logical problem-solving, functions, algorithms, and data structures.
- Proficiency in at least one programming language, such as Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, or a similar language.
- Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals, test strategies, test planning, test design, and test prioritization.
- Experience with functional, integration, regression, API, and performance/load testing.
- Experience testing REST APIs using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar solutions.
- Familiarity with SQL, databases, microservices, and backend application testing.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or GitHub Actions.
- Previous on-call or production support experience is mandatory.
- Knowledge of Kafka or similar messaging technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS, Kubernetes, and cloud-based infrastructure.
- Understanding of security testing concepts and application vulnerabilities.
- Ability to analyze technical problems, explain solutions, and collaborate effectively with development teams.
- Willingness to perform both automated and manual testing.
- Currently reside in Mexico and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
- Advanced conversational English.
- Able to join within 15–30 days.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with Java and Spring Boot, particularly in backend testing or test automation.
- Experience with JMeter, Gatling, or similar performance testing tools.
- Experience with Terraform and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).
- Knowledge of monitoring and observability tools such as New Relic or Splunk.
- Experience with Supply Chain or Warehouse Management Systems.
- Familiarity with Dematic WMS.
- Transferable technical skills, experience with different automation frameworks, and the ability to learn and adapt to new technologies.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and testing frameworks.
- Perform functional, integration, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Develop and implement test strategies, test plans, and test cases based on business and technical requirements.
- Identify, analyze, prioritize, document, and track software defects.
- Use programming fundamentals, logical thinking, and problem-solving skills to develop reliable automated testing solutions.
- Work with automation frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar technologies.
- Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous testing and software delivery.
- Collaborate with software developers, product teams, and other stakeholders to identify quality risks and improve testing coverage.
- Validate REST APIs, microservices, and backend integrations.
- Participate in performance testing, troubleshooting, and continuous quality improvement initiatives.
- Provide on-call production support and assist with troubleshooting production issues when required.
- Perform manual testing when necessary.
