About The Position

Amentum Space Exploration Division (ASED), aligned with JBS Solutions Inc., seeks an experienced Senior Image Analyst and Software Engineer to support the Engineering Photographic Analysis (EPA) Team at NASA's Marshall Space Flight Center. The role provides software engineering, database management, computer systems support, and engineering imagery analysis for NASA's Space Launch System (SLS) Program. The primary focus is developing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing specialized software applications, databases, websites, and supporting computer systems used in engineering imagery analysis. The successful candidate independently resolves technical issues and implements improvements, while collaborating with NASA engineers, imagery analysts, developers, and other specialists. The team processes and evaluates imagery from ground testing, launch operations, and flight to document significant engineering events and potential anomalies in support of vehicle performance assessments, mission assurance, and crew and vehicle safety. Software engineering and systems support are the principal responsibilities, with additional participation in engineering imagery analysis, including post-launch reviews of SLS ascent imagery. The position is based in an office environment, requires domestic travel, and follows a Monday-through-Friday normal workday of 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Minimal overtime may be required.
