About The Position

PeopleTec is seeking a Software Engineer / Analyst to support the PEO M&S STORM PO SW Division at its Huntsville, Alabama location. The role supports management of software projects involving the acquisition of missile tactical software development, software testing and deployment or fielding, and review of software documentation and code. The engineer/analyst also supports Agile events, DevSecOps project activities, verification and validation testing, and project milestone reviews. The position includes tracking contract deliverables and project metrics, and managing cost, schedule, and performance. Candidates must be U.S. citizens and have an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire, with the ability to maintain it throughout employment. Travel is 10%.

Requirements

5–8 years of experience.
Knowledge of software development processes and systems processes.
Experience using Microsoft Project to assess developed software schedules.
Experience managing software requirements.
Experience supporting integration testing with STORM launchers.
Knowledge of risk management tools and their application to development and performance risks.
Understanding of Agile software development processes and practices.
Software engineering expertise, including understanding of the SDLC lifecycle.
Ability to work as a team player across multiple teams.
Excellent written and oral communication skills.
Ability to develop and brief project presentations and status updates.
Must be a U.S. citizen.
Must hold an active DoD Secret clearance upon hire and be able to maintain it during employment.
Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience.

Responsibilities

Support the PEO M&S STORM PO SW Division in managing software projects.
Support acquisition of missile tactical software development.
Support testing and deployment or fielding of software versions.
Review software documentation and software code.
Participate in software reviews and project milestone reviews.
Support Agile events, including sprint reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint demonstrations.
Provide DevSecOps project support.
Support testing, including verification and validation (V&V).
Track contract deliverables and project metrics.
Manage project cost, schedule, and performance.
Support integration testing with STORM launchers.
Apply risk management tools to assess development and performance risks.
Support the budget analyst in determining costs for tactical software projects.
Develop and brief project presentations and status updates.
Travel as required; travel is stated as 10%.
