About The Position

Google software engineers develop next-generation technologies that enable billions of users to connect, explore, and interact with information and one another. Products operate at massive scale and span areas including information retrieval, distributed computing, large-scale system design, networking, data storage, security, artificial intelligence, natural language processing, UI design, and mobile. In this role, you will work on a project critical to Google's needs, with opportunities to move between teams and projects as the business evolves. Engineers are expected to be versatile, demonstrate leadership qualities, and take on new problems across the full stack. Individual pay is based on factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The U.S. salary range is $147,000–$210,000, plus a 15% bonus target, equity, and benefits.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
2 years of experience programming in Java, Kotlin, or C++.
2 years of experience with Android application development.

Nice To Haves

Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical fields.
2 years of experience with data structures and algorithms.
Experience developing accessible technologies.

Responsibilities

Write product or system development code.
Participate in or lead design reviews with peers and stakeholders to decide among available technologies.
Review code developed by other developers and provide feedback to ensure best practices, including style guidelines, checking code in, accuracy, testability, and efficiency.
Contribute to existing documentation or educational content and adapt content based on product or program updates and user feedback.
Triage product or system issues and debug, track, and resolve them by analyzing issue sources and their impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
