About The Position

URBN is seeking an experienced front-end engineer to help develop AI-powered digital experiences by integrating algorithmic solutions with creative tools. The role involves implementing user experience features, integrating with services using agentic tools, and contributing to fast-paced software development lifecycle implementation across evolving digital products. The engineer will work with UX designers, engineers, data scientists, product managers, and domain experts to deliver business impact. The role also contributes to machine-learning architecture, including production data pipelines and applications for model training and inference.

Requirements

• Understand object-oriented principles and design patterns.
• Have hands-on experience with agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini-cli, or Co-pilot.
• Have strong coding skills and software development experience.
• Be proficient in JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Be proficient with modern JavaScript frameworks such as Vue or React, and with Webpack.
• Understand state management methods and their implementation, such as Vuex or Redux.
• Have experience with cloud platforms such as Google Cloud Platform, Amazon Web Services, or Microsoft Azure.
• Be an excellent communicator.
• Be comfortable with ambiguity and able to take ownership and thrive with minimal oversight and process.
• Have a passion for building agentic workflows.

Responsibilities

• Design efficient, reusable front-end systems using JavaScript, Node, and React.
• Integrate with microservices and event-driven systems.
• Develop functional designs in collaboration with enterprise architects, developers, business partners, and end users.
• Collaborate with product designers, product managers, and software engineers to deliver user-facing products.
• Help implement and maintain machine-learning architecture, including data pipelines and applications for production model training and inference.
• Build cross-functional partnerships.
• Promote engineering best practices.
