•$145,000 - $217,000•Remote

About The Position

As a Senior Software Engineer on Indeed’s Utility team, you will develop and evolve the ranking logic that determines which jobs jobseekers see and in what order. The work balances jobseeker relevance with the value results deliver to employers and Indeed. You will partner with data scientists to bring optimization ideas into production ranking behavior on high-traffic job surfaces, and collaborate with product managers and surface owners to deliver product outcomes. You will own significant parts of the ranking system end to end, improving existing capabilities, prototyping next-generation features, and simplifying ranking and measurement logic to keep it maintainable as it grows. You will drive technical design discussions and use experimentation strategies and analysis tools to assess whether changes improve business outcomes without harming latency or reliability.
