About The Position

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Software Engineer III. In this role, you will be playing a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions that solve mission critical business problems and support Walmart marketplace growth. You will be utilizing your experience in Java / Python / React, Spring framework, CI/CD to build scalable distributed systems. Immigration Sponsorship support will NOT be available for this position.

Requirements

  • Proven expertise in object-oriented programming and coding languages such as Java/J2ee.
  • Strong knowledge of software development lifecycle, including agile methodologies, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
  • Experience in requirement analysis, scoping, and translating business needs into technical solutions.
  • Proficiency in debugging, defect management, and root cause analysis to ensure high-quality software delivery.
  • Ability to design scalable, maintainable, and secure software components aligned with business objectives.
  • Familiarity with telemetry, testing tools, and automation to support efficient development and monitoring.
  • Demonstrated capability to collaborate cross-functionally and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 2 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.
  • OR 4 years’ experience in software engineering or related area.

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Computer Information Systems, Software Engineering, or related area.
  • Background in creating inclusive digital experiences, demonstrating knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and translate business and technical requirements into scalable software solutions.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain high-quality code adhering to coding standards and security policies.
  • Design and implement APIs and platform components supporting iterative and incremental development.
  • Build automation scripts to enhance continuous integration and delivery processes.
  • Execute comprehensive testing, including defect tracking and root cause analysis, to ensure software reliability.
  • Monitor application performance using telemetry and debugging tools, addressing bottlenecks proactively.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align development efforts with business objectives and product strategy.
  • Mentor team members and contribute to knowledge sharing and process improvements.
