About The Position

Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) treats operations as a software problem. The team works to progress, protect, and provide for the software and systems behind Google’s public services, including Search, Ads, Gmail, Android, YouTube, and AppEngine, with a focus on availability, latency, performance, and capacity. SRE keeps important, revenue-critical systems running through outages and configuration problems, and also has the authority to fix, extend, and scale code to keep systems working and make them more resilient to Internet conditions. The work combines systems and software engineering. SRE engineers work across a broad range of systems and scales, from disk-driver I/O scheduling to service capacity across continents, and drive reliability and performance across Google’s production systems.
