About The Position

ngrok is hiring a Software Engineer III or Senior Software Engineer for its Infrastructure Platform team. The team builds and maintains the systems ngrok engineers use to build, deploy, and operate the ngrok platform, including build systems, deployment workflows, infrastructure tooling, service reliability, and developer-experience tools. The role works on systems with production traffic, latency constraints, and reliability requirements, using a stack that includes Go, PostgreSQL, gRPC, Kubernetes, Terraform, Protobuf, nix, and AWS. The position involves improving engineering workflows and internal platform capabilities, automating operational work, strengthening reliability, and contributing to observability and incident response. It also includes mentoring teammates, contributing technical direction, and helping evolve the platform’s architecture and operational maturity. Candidates must be based in the United States and legally authorized to work there permanently without current or future visa sponsorship. Compensation depends on job level, location tier, qualifications, and other factors; the company offers salary and equity.
