About The Position

We are looking for an experienced Software Engineer III – Frontend to join the engineering team and support high-traffic, customer-facing e-commerce applications. The role focuses primarily on frontend development, building scalable, reliable, and high-performance web experiences for Checkout and Wishlist platforms, with occasional backend development using Java. The engineer will collaborate with Product, UX, and Engineering teams to deliver solutions that improve customer experience, conversion, and overall platform performance. The position involves delivering frontend features end to end, from technical design and implementation through production support. It includes creating reusable UI components and shared frontend libraries, translating business requirements and UX designs into production-ready code, integrating RESTful APIs, and contributing to automated testing, performance, accessibility, security, reliability, and application monitoring. The engineer will also participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and Agile ceremonies, collaborate with distributed teams, and use AI-assisted tools while maintaining code quality. Candidates must currently reside in Mexico and be legally authorized to work there. Advanced English proficiency and the ability to collaborate with international teams are required.

Requirements

At least 5 years of professional experience in frontend software engineering.
Strong hands-on experience with JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and TypeScript.
Experience developing and integrating RESTful APIs.
Familiarity with backend technologies such as Java, Golang, or Python.
Strong understanding of frontend architecture, reusable components, and software design patterns.
Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
Experience with testing frameworks such as Playwright or similar tools.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, including GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, or equivalent.
Understanding of web performance optimization, accessibility, and secure coding practices.
Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools such as New Relic, Splunk, or AWS CloudWatch.
Experience working in Agile development environments.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
Advanced written and verbal English communication skills.
Must currently reside in Mexico and be legally authorized to work in Mexico.
Ability to collaborate effectively with international teams.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain scalable frontend applications using JavaScript, React, Redux, Node.js, and TypeScript.
