About The Position

As a Software Engineer III at JPMorganChase within the Employee Platforms - Data Platforms and AI team, you serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firm’s business objectives.

Requirements

Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience
Strong hands-on coding skills in Python with demonstrated proficiency in building RESTful APIs and microservices using FastAPI.
Experience with LLM integration, prompt/context engineering, and proficiency in agent frameworks (LangChain/LangGraph, Google ADK)
Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Experience working with enterprise data quality and governance platforms. This includes hands-on exposure to Ataccama DQ for data quality management and profiling, Atalane for data lineage and metadata management, and BigID for data discovery, privacy, and compliance.
Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
Solid understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
Demonstrated knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)

Nice To Haves

1+ years of experience building or operating data pipelines on Databricks.
Exposure to cloud technologies, AWS certification is plus.
Familiarity with MCP

Responsibilities

Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine or conventional approaches to build solutions or break down technical problems
Design and implement knowledge graphs and knowledge-base services using graph databases (e.g., Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), including schema/ontology modeling, data ingestion, and query optimization.
Integrate AI agents with engineering toolchains (Jira, Bitbucket, GitHub, Snyk) and monitoring platforms
Developing and orchestrating multi-agent systems where agents collaborate to solve complex, long-running tasks.
Proactively identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture
Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, opportunity, inclusion, and respect
