Software Engineer II - Full Stack Development | Asset Management Technology

JPMorgan Chase & Co.•New York, NY
•$123,500 - $150,000

About The Position

As a Software Engineer II at JPMorganChase within Asset & Wealth Management, you will join an agile team that enhances, designs, and delivers software components for secure, stable, and scalable technology products. As an emerging member of the engineering team, you will design, develop, and troubleshoot multiple components within a technical product, application, or system while building your skills and experience. This is a full-stack role with a heavier emphasis on frontend development using React, alongside backend development with Java and Spring Boot and deployment on AWS. You will build end-to-end solutions using cloud-native, microservices-based architectures and modern engineering practices. You will develop and maintain production code, work with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted development tools, and validate generated outputs through peer review, automated testing, and secure coding standards. You will also help improve operational stability, resolve issues, and design scalable solutions that avoid single points of failure and support zero-downtime releases and optimized data performance where applicable.

Requirements

  • Proficiency with modern JavaScript or TypeScript frontend stacks and React; Angular is acceptable if strong React capability can be demonstrated.
  • Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot, with experience applying microservices architecture patterns.
  • Strong working knowledge of HTML5, CSS, and preprocessors such as Sass or LESS.
  • Hands-on experience with enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools for activities such as coding, testing, troubleshooting, or documentation, and ability to critically evaluate and validate AI-generated outputs.
  • Understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity, secure handling of inputs and outputs, and security and resiliency expectations.
  • Exposure to agile methodologies and topics such as CI/CD, application resiliency, and security.
  • Ability to independently solve design and functionality challenges with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in large teams and contribute to an inclusive, innovative culture.
