  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Development, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
  • 3–5+ years of production-level engineering experience if qualifying through equivalent professional experience.
  • Expert-level Python proficiency, focused on distributed, scalable, cloud-native services.
  • Experience in a Data Science or Machine Learning environment, including bridging research code and production software.

Nice To Haves

  • Hands-on experience with AgentCore runtime for building and managing autonomous agents.
  • Extensive LangGraph experience creating complex, stateful multi-agent orchestrations with high visibility.
  • Familiarity with Amazon Bedrock, OpenAI, or Anthropic APIs and recent advances in LLM reasoning.
  • Experience building and optimizing RAG pipelines.
  • Experience productionizing Data Science models and turning research-grade code into high-performance, scalable APIs, such as with FastAPI.
  • Experience with the MLOps lifecycle, including model deployment, versioning, and performance monitoring.
  • Familiarity with Amazon SageMaker or other cloud-based ML platforms.
  • Expertise in AWS services including Lambda, Step Functions, ECS/EKS, EventBridge, and S3.
  • Proficiency in Terraform for Infrastructure as Code.
  • Experience building asynchronous, event-driven architectures.
  • Proficiency in Splunk and CloudWatch for production monitoring and alerting.
  • Knowledge of SDLC processes, including unit testing, regression testing, and Agile concepts.
  • Ability to turn broad, loosely developed concepts into precise technical specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement autonomous agents using AgentCore and orchestrate them with LangGraph so complex workflows are visible and manageable.
  • Partner with Data Scientists to move ML models from research notebooks into scalable, production-ready AWS environments.
  • Research, test, and present emerging technologies, frameworks, and AI research papers to the team; adopt tools that can improve velocity or service quality.
  • Build and maintain AWS cloud-native infrastructure for AI/ML inference and agent execution, with attention to availability and cost-efficiency.
  • Implement monitoring and alerting for services, using LangGraph for agent-specific visibility and Splunk for broader system health.
