About The Position

BILL is hiring a Software Engineer to join its Growth - Activation and Expansion team. The team focuses on acquiring and activating customers, improving onboarding, and expanding customer adoption across BILL products. The role involves building solutions that drive user growth and improve customer experiences in a rapidly growing fintech company.

Requirements

BS/MS in Computer Science or a related area.
3+ years of experience developing systems or software for large business environment platforms using Java.
Experience implementing complex distributed systems and robust, highly scalable, performant SaaS applications.
Experience with AWS services such as ECS, Lambda, SQS, SNS, S3, and Kinesis.
Experience with SQL database design, including Oracle or MySQL, and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.
Experience with build tools such as Gradle and implementing CI/CD pipelines.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple feature teams and with product managers.
Experience leveraging generative AI technologies in software engineering, including designing prompts, rigorously evaluating outputs, and integrating LLMs.
Authorization to work in the United States without requiring visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Responsibilities

Develop systems and software for large business environment platforms using Java.
Implement complex distributed systems and robust, highly scalable, high-performance SaaS applications.
Design and work with SQL and NoSQL databases.
Build and maintain software using Gradle and CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate across feature teams and with product managers.
Leverage generative AI technologies to accelerate software engineering by designing prompts, evaluating outputs, and integrating LLMs.
