About The Position

Manage the program’s OEM’s total software development efforts, including subcontractors. This includes the OEM’s development, implementation, and maintenance of software as documented in the Software Development Plan, covering platforms, support equipment, training systems, and mission planning systems. Review proposed system and subsystem design information and provide technical guidance on software development practices, performance trades, risks, systems integration issues, software assurance, and cybersecurity.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Avionics, Electronics, or Software Engineering from an ABET-accredited school for that discipline at the time the degree was conferred.
• At least three years of experience in the respective technical or professional discipline being performed, including three years in DoD or other United States Government ISR/SOF organizations.
• Two years of experience in DoD acquisition or development of OFP software.

Nice To Haves

• Agile software development and/or DevSecOps experience is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the OEM’s development, implementation, and maintenance of software as documented in the Software Development Plan.
• Review proposed system and subsystem design information, including Software Requirements Specifications, Software Design Descriptions, Software Test Plans, Software Test Descriptions, Software Test Reports, Software Product Specifications, Interface Requirements Specifications, and Software Version Descriptions.
• Provide technical guidance on software development practices, performance trades, risks, systems integration issues, software assurance, and cybersecurity.
