About The Position

Latitude AI is hiring a Software Engineer II for its Virtual Test Ecosystem (VTE) team. Latitude AI is a Ford Motor Company subsidiary developing automated driving technology. The VTE team builds and maintains cloud-agnostic, on-prem-capable simulation and resimulation workflows that support large-scale safety and performance testing of autonomy software. The role focuses on improving the simulation/resimulation cloud framework and its applications. The engineer will write Python code, work with open-source packages and AWS/GCP services, analyze scalability and performance bottlenecks, create benchmarks and dashboards, and implement improvements. The position also involves making the framework intuitive, documented, and easy for internal users to extend; collaborating with autonomy, systems, test, and other teams; supporting efficient log storage and search, scene indexing, and dataset coverage; and enabling developers to implement and analyze performance metrics.
