About The Position

The Contact Center AI team builds the conversational AI runtime for intelligent, agentic customer engagement across chat, digital channels, and real-time voice. Its enterprise-grade, highly available service integrates with Azure and a broad ecosystem of first- and third-party products. The team turns advances in foundation models, multimodal systems, and AI agents into production-ready capabilities that help customers resolve complex needs with speed, consistency, and trust. The team’s charter spans the Microsoft Copilot Studio (MCS) runtime, including agent authoring, orchestration and invocation; secure tool and connector execution; knowledge grounding and retrieval; and a dynamic evaluation system for measuring quality as agents, models, data, and customer behaviors evolve. As a Software Engineer II, you will design, build, and operate features and services across the agentic stack, delivering production-grade code and well-scoped components. You will own feature delivery end to end with growing independence, partner with senior engineers on design, and develop technical breadth across the stack in an AI-first, agile, fast-paced environment. Microsoft emphasizes a growth mindset, innovation, collaboration, respect, integrity, accountability, and inclusion.
