About The Position

The Software Engineer I will join Twitch’s On-Demand team within the Engagement Growth organization. The team builds tools and systems for creators to create and curate video on demand, clips, and other short-form content, and develops the platforms that distribute that content to viewers. The role involves contributing across the full stack, including backend development in Go and frontend development in React, on systems designed to scale to millions of concurrent users. The position is based in Seattle, Washington.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent industry experience as a Software Engineer.
Willingness to learn and work with a diverse group of people.
Strong foundation in data structures and algorithms.
Familiarity with scalability, concurrency, API design, data modeling, and distributed systems fundamentals.
Proficiency in Go, Java, Python, or another object-oriented language.
Eagerness to grow as a Software Engineer.

Nice To Haves

Familiarity with AWS infrastructure.
Coding experience with React.
Twitch experience or knowledge as a viewer, moderator, or streamer.

Responsibilities

Learn and contribute across the full stack of software, including backend (Go) and frontend (React).
Collaborate with engineers, product managers, and designers to build products and solutions.
Participate in Operational Excellence work to maintain and support live services.
Work with support teams to resolve issues and fix production bugs.
