About The Position

The AI Software Engineer designs, develops, and maintains AI-enabled applications, with an emphasis on integrating large language models into business workflows. The role partners with business and technology stakeholders to understand requirements, implement well-tested solutions, and support deployed AI services in production. It contributes to codebases, documentation, and operational support processes while following secure engineering practices and established development standards. Under guidance from senior engineers, the position supports experimentation and evaluation of AI tools and frameworks and helps improve user experiences through automation and AI-assisted capabilities aligned with firm objectives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least two years of experience in application development.
• Development experience with one or more of the following: front-end development (React, AngularJS, .NET MVC, or similar); backend development (C#, NodeJS); database servers (SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or similar); SQL development (queries, functions, stored procedures); NoSQL (Azure Cosmos DB, MongoDB, or similar); cloud technologies (Azure); business intelligence technologies (ADF, SSIS, SSAS, SSRS, Power BI, or similar); mobile development (Xamarin, Swift, Objective-C, or similar); or CI/CD pipelines (such as GitHub Actions, Azure Pipelines, or GitLab Runners).
• Experience with databases and SQL.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer relationship skills.
• Ability to work in a deadline-driven environment, handle multiple complex projects or tasks simultaneously, and maintain attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Develop AI-driven applications and integration points.
• Research and evaluate AI technologies for potential implementation.
• Design and maintain documentation for AI systems and processes.
• Collaborate with business units to clarify AI solution requirements.
• Coordinate technical efforts related to AI system issues and optimizations.
• Build and maintain documentation for internally developed and third-party integrated systems.
• Implement AI features, including large language model integrations, prompts, and retrieval workflows, under guidance.
• Proactively monitor and support existing applications and automations.
• Integrate AI functionality into existing systems to enhance user experience for defined use cases and scoped deliverables.
• Support AI Engineering and IT professionals, providing guidance on issue resolution with oversight from team leads.
• Escalate critical issues to management and implement timely resolution strategies based on runbooks and established escalation paths.
• Coordinate and organize follow-up on team meeting action items assigned to the role.
• Provide Level IV support for specific applications as needed.
• Participate in code reviews as a reviewer and author, and remediate findings to ensure AI application quality and security.
• Monitor and support existing AI applications and automations by reviewing alerts and dashboards and performing routine checks.
• Perform other duties as required.
