About The Position

Apple’s Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization builds and operates technology systems supporting Apple’s customers and employees. Within IS&T, the AI & Data Platforms (AiDP) team brings together data, application development, machine learning, generative AI, data services, and customer success to improve how teams build solutions and adopt generative AI across Apple.

The Enterprise Data Warehouse team within AiDP works with petabytes of data across real-time, near-real-time, and batch pipelines, as well as data-centric agentic solutions. Its work supports business functions including Retail, Sales, Operations, Finance, AppleCare, Marketing, and Internet Services.

In this role, you will understand business challenges, collaborate with business and cross-functional teams, design statistical or deep learning solutions, develop solutions independently or guide others, deliver outcomes into production, and maintain good governance of your work. You will build AI-powered applications and data products, translating ambiguous business problems into scalable technical designs and taking solutions from prototype to production.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 2 years of experience in software and applied AI/ML engineering.
• Programming proficiency in Python or Java.
• Experience building GenAI-powered applications, including RAG pipelines, embeddings, vector databases, and semantic search integrated with structured and unstructured enterprise data.
• Practical experience building AI agents or agentic workflows involving planning, memory, tool use, and execution loops.
• Full-stack application development experience, including backend APIs, data services, and front-end/UI layers.
• Ability to translate ambiguous business problems into scalable technical designs and take solutions from prototype to production, with attention to governance, reliability, and observability.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional business and engineering teams, both technical and non-technical.
• Track record of brainstorming and shipping POCs using AI/ML/GenAI services to solve enterprise problems.
• Ability to manage partner communications and ambiguity in a fast-changing, matrixed environment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience building multi-agent systems or agentic workflows that autonomously coordinate retrieval, reasoning, and action steps across a data pipeline.
• Experience with cloud data platforms and cloud-native architectures such as AWS, GCP, or Azure; AWS is preferred.
• Experience with ML frameworks such as PyTorch or TensorFlow for model training and serving.
• Experience with modern front-end/full-stack frameworks such as React, Streamlit, or FastAPI for building internal data/AI applications and dashboards.
• Prior experience in enterprise domains such as Retail, Finance, Sales, Marketing, or Operations analytics.
