Software Engineer, Developer Experience — Moveworks
About The Position
The Developer Experience team at Moveworks is responsible for building products and platforms that serve developers working within Moveworks customer environments. These developers build on top of the Moveworks Agentic AI platform. The team's goal is to increase the number of developers enabled, the speed at which they ship integrations, and the quality of skills and workflows they publish, ultimately compounding value for end-users of the assistant. As a Software Engineer on this team, you will work across the full stack, from backend services to web UIs, and will directly impact the developers using the platform. You will own features end-to-end, from design to production, moving fast and focusing on the developer experience, including visual polish, interaction quality, and API ergonomics, without compromising quality or scale. The ideal candidate is technically strong, fast, and obsessed with shipping high-quality, user-loved products.
Requirements
- 3+ years of professional software engineering experience with meaningful full-stack product work.
- Strong frontend fundamentals, including React (or equivalent), component architecture, state management, and an eye for UI quality and interaction design.
- Solid backend engineering fundamentals, including REST API design, service communication, and data modeling.
- Experience with Python and/or Go for backend development.
- Product sense and UX instinct; ability to think about the end-user.
- Speed and ownership: ability to take a fuzzy problem, make it concrete, and ship without extensive hand-holding.
- Strong communication skills across product, design, and engineering.
Nice To Haves
- Experience building developer tooling, SDKs, documentation platforms, or other developer-facing products.
- Exposure to agentic AI products or LLM-powered features.
- Eye for design, including Figma fluency or ability to contribute to design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Build end-to-end product features across the full stack, including React web UIs, backend APIs, and connecting services.
- Own developer-facing product surfaces such as IDE-like tooling, configuration UIs, onboarding flows, debugging and observability interfaces, and agentic developer tools.
- Contribute to the platform services that products depend on, understanding the underlying systems.
- Apply strong UX and design sensibility to all shipped work, considering layout, interaction, information hierarchy, and developer ergonomics.
- Prototype quickly, validate with developers, iterate, and ship high-quality production code.
- Collaborate directly with product, design, and ML engineers to define product direction.
- Identify and address rough edges in the developer experience, even if not explicitly on the roadmap.
