About The Position

We are seeking a Software Engineer with experience in Data Science Portfolio. The ideal candidate will have strong backend engineering skills, experience building APIs, services, and production systems, and a solid understanding of software engineering fundamentals. You will work closely with data scientists, operations research engineers, and product managers, owning features end-to-end with minimal oversight. A strong troubleshooting and operational support mindset is essential.

Requirements

• 4-6+ years of experience in Software Engineering.
• Exposure to ML systems.
• Strong backend engineering skills (Python and Java preferred).
• Experience building APIs, services, and production systems.
• Solid software engineering fundamentals including Git/Github Workflows, Unit and Integration Testing, CI/CD and multi environment deployments, Code reviews, OOP and good class/object design practices.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Ability to work closely with data scientists, operations research engineers, and product managers.
• Comfortable owning features end-to-end with minimal oversight.
• Strong troubleshooting and operational support mindset.
• Python.
• No SQL Databases (Cosmos).
• Databricks.
• Real time data streaming - Message queues, stream and stateful processing.
• Docker.
• Kubernetes.
• CI/CD pipelines.
• FastAPI / Flask.
• Azure.
• Git & version control.

• Experience with Data Science ML or Operations Research (optimization, MIPs).
