About The Position

This is an onsite IT Engineer position located in Chicago, IL, with a duration of 6 months. The role requires 4-6+ years of experience in Desktop Management and Infrastructure Services. The engineer will be responsible for providing VIP support, installing and configuring hardware and software, ensuring data security, performing onsite updates and installations, meeting PC refresh targets, and adhering to SLAs for incidents and service requests. The role also involves managing IT assets, providing technical support for special events and Teams meeting rooms, and troubleshooting various hardware and software issues. The candidate should have excellent communication and troubleshooting skills, knowledge of Dell hardware, basic understanding of servers, network devices, and firewalls, and the ability to coordinate with offshore teams and vendors. Flexibility for on-call support and travel to nearby locations is also required. Experience in a brewery production environment with PPE is a plus.

Requirements

  • 4-6+ years experience required in Desktop Management - Infrastructure Services (IS).
  • Experience in providing VIP support and soft skills to handle users.
  • Install, configure & troubleshoot desktop & laptop hardware, mobile devices, and associated peripherals and related software.
  • Conscious & adhere on Information & Data Security/ Compliance.
  • Perform onsite updates, configuration changes, or software installations and security patches.
  • Meet PC Refresh Target and OS build PCs for new joiners.
  • Meet 100% SLA for Incidents and Service Requests.
  • Manage, maintain, and protect customers’ physical IT assets.
  • Provide technical support and set up during special events such as conferences.
  • Provide onsite technical assistance to Authorized Users.
  • Provide technical support for Teams meeting rooms.
  • Excellent Troubleshooting Skills on Desktops, Laptops, Windows Operating System, and hardware issues.
  • Experience in Dell Hardware knowledge.
  • Basic hardware understanding (Server, Network Devices, Firewall, Cabling etc..).
  • Basic troubleshooting Network issues.
  • Excellent listening skills & ability to communicate in English.
  • Should be able to travel (Drive down) to nearby customer locations when necessary.
  • Co-ordination with offshore team and Third-party Vendors for break-fix.
  • Flexibility to work in on-call support for critical issues during weekend/after business hours.
  • Participate in weekly/ monthly/ customer meetings and provide activities report.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Brewery (Production) environment with Personal Protection Equipment (PPE).
  • Good understanding of Incident & Request tickets handling.
  • Experience with ServiceNow or similar ticketing tool.
