About The Position
This remote role is available only to candidates located in Arizona, North Carolina, or Texas. The Software Engineer Consultant will help evolve a large-scale Salesforce-based Consumer Lending Platform that supports critical business operations and enterprise integrations. The role combines hands-on development with technical consulting, integration design, and engineering enablement. The consultant will influence solution design, improve engineering practices, modernize DevOps capabilities, and help shape the Salesforce ecosystem.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience, or a high school diploma/GED/equivalent and 12 years of experience in software application development and maintenance.
- Strong experience with Salesforce Administration, Apex, LWC, Git, Salesforce Flow, the Salesforce security model, SFDX, Platform Events, API integrations, REST/SOAP, event-driven architecture concepts, GitLab or Azure DevOps, AutoRabit, IICS, CI/CD, release management, Agile delivery, SQL, and JavaScript.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Collaborative, team-oriented, adaptable, mentor-minded, and focused on continuous improvement.

- 8 or more years of software development/application delivery experience.
- 5 or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience.
- 3 or more years of hands-on nCino configuration experience.
- 3 or more years of banking or financial services experience.
- 3 or more years of technical design and solutioning experience.
- Comfort working across development, solution design, integrations, DevOps, and production support.
- Salesforce Administrator certification.
- Platform App Builder certification.
- Platform Developer I and II certifications.
- Salesforce Certified Integration Architect certification.
- Salesforce Certified System Architect certification.
- Salesforce Certified AI Associate certification.
- nCino 201 and 301 Retail Banking certifications.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and support solutions across Salesforce and nCino platforms.
- Work with Product Owners, Technical Partners, Enterprise Architects, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Participate in solution design discussions and apply industry-standard design patterns and best practices.
- Design and implement integrations between Salesforce, core banking applications and platforms, and other systems using IICS, ESBs, MuleSoft, REST/SOAP APIs, and modern integration patterns.
- Contribute to GitLab DevOps practices, CI/CD improvements, deployment automation, and related best practices.
- Perform code reviews and collaborate with internal and external teams to drive excellence.
- Support production troubleshooting, release activities, and deployments.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement, automation, and increased developer productivity.
- Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted development tools.
