About The Position

Vestmark is seeking a motivated Software Engineer Co-op for the 2027 Spring Semester to join its Engineering team. The co-op will contribute to developing web-based applications and back-office systems, helping build the next generation of wealth management applications. The team includes software engineers, implementation specialists, business strategists, and visionaries focused on financial technology. Local candidates only; the role is based in Boston.

Requirements

• Majoring in Computer Science or Computer Engineering.
• Incoming college junior or senior.
• Coding experience with Java, C#, Python, or a similar language.
• Experience with MVC and related design patterns.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as SQL Server.
• Strong curiosity and willingness to learn in a distributed team environment.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Some experience in algorithmic and object-oriented design skills.
• Strong time management and written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop applications within the VestmarkONE suite of financial services, including Portfolio Trading, Proposal Generation, and Investor Portal.
• Build and maintain features to meet expanding scale and performance requirements.
• Collaborate in a distributed environment as part of an agile scrum team.
• Contribute to the development of Vestmark's core values: We Before Me, Positive Energy, Knowledge Explorer, and Own It.
