About The Position

Nuro is seeking a Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Infrastructure and Observability to join their growing Infrastructure team. This role involves collaborating cross-functionally to understand customer needs and building scalable solutions for infrastructure-as-code and application deployment on Kubernetes clusters. The engineer will also develop automation to enhance developer experience, infrastructure reliability, and security, and create observability solutions for monitoring production systems, tracking health, and improving performance.

Requirements

Demonstrated ability to thrive in the ambiguity of a dynamic, start-up environment or have the DNA to do so.
Excellent communication skills.
Software development skills, preferably in Python or Go.
Experience with developing in a public cloud environment.
Experience with Terraform, Docker, and Kubernetes.
Experience with observability tools.
Experience with building, scaling, and maintaining production systems.
A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field or 3+ years of equivalent experience.

Nice To Haves

Cloud/hybrid networking experience.
Software architecture experience.
Experience in deploying and managing large distributed applications (e.g. with Kubernetes and ArgoCD).
Experience designing and building observability systems.
