About The Position

Path Robotics is hiring a Software Engineer to build robust, real-time back-end and robotics systems that support manufacturing. The company’s flexible system integrates robots, sensors, and other manufacturing systems with its algorithms. The role focuses on developing robotic welding features and designing modular, concurrent, and distributed systems for perception, planning, and execution, with an emphasis on reliable, deterministic real-time behavior.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, robotics engineering, or a related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 1–2 years of experience in production robotics, C++ systems with real-world deployment, or equivalent experience.
• Experience with ROS2, including publishers/subscribers, services, node lifecycle, or equivalent.
• Comfort with CMake, colcon workspaces, and dependency management.
• Solid multithreading and concurrency skills, including building thread-safe, real-time, deterministic systems.
• Proficiency with Git, CI/CD, and containerized deployments using Docker.

Nice To Haves

• Strong C++ proficiency is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design modular, concurrent, and distributed systems for perception, planning, and execution, including multithreading and synchronization.
• Develop robotic welding features with automated testing, optimized for real-time, deterministic behavior.
• Integrate computer vision, motion planning, and control systems with industrial robots.
• Debug issues across real-time motion control, perception pipelines, and multi-package integration.
• Conduct code reviews and write unit and integration tests.
