About The Position

SAIC is seeking a Software Engineer Associate to support the US Navy in Crane, Indiana. The role is in the Weapons Platform Integration Branch and focuses on the MK49 Remoted Operated Small Arms Mount ISEA project. The candidate will support the software aspects of the MK 49 MOD 0 ROSAM system and its support equipment, as well as engineering, troubleshooting, continuous improvement, system refurbishment, and live-fire test and evaluation events. The position also involves collaborating with other branches and divisions within and outside the Weapon Systems Division (JXN).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree.
• Zero years of experience required.
• Experience with Python and C++ languages.
• Ability to communicate well.
• Ability to work within a team to find solutions.
• Interim Secret clearance required to start, with the ability to obtain a Secret clearance; SAIC will sponsor the clearance process.
• US citizenship.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with embedded systems, with ARM highly desired.
• Degree in computer science, computer engineering, or electrical engineering.

Responsibilities

• Support software aspects of the MK 49 MOD 0 ROSAM system and support equipment.
• Support ongoing engineering, troubleshooting, continuous improvements, and system refurbishments.
• Support live-fire test and evaluation events.
• Collaborate with other branches and divisions within and outside the Weapon Systems Division (JXN).
• Document processes and provide expertise for customer feedback.
• Meet specified deadlines in a time-sensitive position with a deliverable schedule.
