About The Position

We are seeking a talented Software Engineering Associate to join our dynamic and growing ETF team during an exciting period of strategic expansion. This role offers the opportunity to support designing and delivering full stack technology solutions to solve business problems in one of asset management's fastest-evolving segments. You'll work alongside cross-functional teams to help position our offerings competitively and deliver meaningful solutions that meet the evolving needs of our internal stakeholders and clients.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4+ years’ experience preferably with a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • Extensive hands-on experience in designing and delivering full stack technology solutions to solve business problems preferably within Asset Management or financial services
  • Demonstrated ability to propose and implement solutions across full stack applications and data pipelines running in the cloud (preferably AWS).
  • Ability to communicate complex technical challenges and their solutions clearly to peers and junior engineers to align on solutions and mentor others in the team.
  • Experience with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, DevOps practices, and containerization technologies.
  • AWS – SNS, SQS, EC2, Lambda
  • Databases – Redshift or Snowflake
  • Python (Object-Oriented) & SQL
  • Containers (Kubernetes or Docker)
  • CI/CD tools, e.g., Jenkins, Gitlab or Bamboo
  • RESTful APIs
  • Apache Airflow Orchestration

Nice To Haves

  • Familiarity with our tech stack (React, Python, AWS, Lambda, Redshift, S3)
  • Familiarity with our platforms (Aladdin, Bloomberg, FactSet)
  • Familiarity with our business domain (research, portfolio construction, trading and execution, performance attribution across equities, fixed income and derivatives)

Responsibilities

  • Create optimal data pipelines using Apache Airflow DAGs, Docker, AWS, Python or Snowflake
  • Work with stakeholders including data, design, product and executive teams and assisting them with data-related technical issues
  • Assemble large, complex sets of data that meet non-functional and functional business requirements
  • Design and implement internal process improvements including re-designing infrastructure for greater scalability, optimizing data delivery, and automating manual processes
  • Build required infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation and loading of data from various data sources using AWS and SQL technologies
  • Build analytical tools to utilize the data pipeline, providing actionable insight into key business performance metrics including operational efficiency and customer acquisition
