About The Position

The Travel, Transportation and Hospitality (TTH) team supports major airlines, hotel chains, rental car brands, cruise lines, and travel tech companies. This team is at the forefront of the travel industry, collaborating with customers to shape the Sierra platform and redefine hospitality. They focus on delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving business growth. The TTH team is known for pushing industry boundaries, assisting customers in crucial moments like encouraging new bookings or helping guests rebook travel during disruptions. They aim to maximize guest lifetime value and create delightful guest experiences at every touchpoint. This is a small, collaborative team where every member is encouraged to go beyond their defined role to build the future of the travel industry.

Requirements

Experience building and scaling end-to-end production systems.
Strong technical problem-solving skills, especially in fast-changing, ambiguous environments.
A builder and tinkerer's mindset with high agency.
Comfort working directly with customers to understand their needs and solve real-world problems.
Excellent communication skills—clear, direct, and persuasive across technical and non-technical audiences.
Excitement in the travel space and a genuine care for helping improve the guest experience.

Nice To Haves

Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
Experience building or deploying AI/LLM systems in production.
Founder or founding engineer experience.
Familiarity with tools that power today's AI agents: eval frameworks, agent tooling, RAG pipelines, and prompt engineering.
Prior experience with React, TypeScript, and/or Go.
Previous roles where you interfaced with customers or led technical projects with external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Design and deliver production-grade AI agents that are highly performant, reliable, and intuitive, driving revenue directly.
Own the Agent Development Life Cycle (ADLC) from pilot through deployment and continuous iteration, including building, tuning, and evolving AI agents in production.
Define ADLC best practices.
Partner with leaders at large enterprises to understand business challenges and build AI agents that transform operations at scale.
Partner with cutting-edge startups to embed AI agents across their business stacks for innovation and efficiency.
Guide the evolution of Sierra's core platform through direct customer work, surfacing unmet needs, prototyping new tools and features, and collaborating with research, product, and platform teams.
