AECOM is seeking developers to work on interdisciplinary projects that transform data and automate processes, primarily for environmental, health, and safety requirements. The role supports federal, state and local government, and private-sector clients. It includes responsibility for small solution-development projects or development tasks within larger projects, and requires both independent work and team collaboration. The position designs, creates, and maintains business automation and intelligence tools and their supporting data structures. The specialist works with clients, subject-matter experts, and coworkers to understand data needs, plan solutions, estimate effort and schedules, query databases, use APIs, and explain technical challenges and proposed solutions to non-technical decision makers. It is client-facing and may involve multiple clients at once, with daily work time allocated to the appropriate projects. This is a full-time, salaried position with hybrid home/office work. The first day must be in-office for security and onboarding purposes, and occasional travel to client meetings is required. US citizenship is required. Relocation and sponsorship are not available. Candidates in the Houston, Philadelphia, or New York regions are preferred.
