About The Position

AECOM is hiring a developer to work on interdisciplinary projects that transform data and automate processes, primarily related to environmental, health, and safety requirements. The role supports federal, state, local, and private-sector clients and requires U.S. citizenship. The developer works independently and collaboratively, taking responsibility for the success of small solution-development projects or development tasks within larger projects. The position focuses on designing, creating, and maintaining business automation and intelligence tools and the data structures that support them. It requires working with clients and subject-matter experts to understand data needs, plan and estimate project work, obtain data through database queries and APIs, and explain technical challenges and solutions to non-technical decision-makers. This is a client-facing, full-time salaried role involving multiple clients and accurate allocation of daily work time to projects. The role is hybrid home/office, with the first day required in an AECOM office for security and onboarding. Occasional travel to client meetings is required. Relocation and sponsorship are not available. Candidates in the Houston, Philadelphia, or New York regions are preferred. AECOM intends to fill this current vacancy by November 15, 2026.
