Software Development Internship - Summer 2027
About The Position
P2S is offering a 10–12-week summer internship for students majoring in Software Development. Interns join the Software Development team and contribute to client projects while gaining hands-on experience in office and field settings. The program provides real-world industry exposure, including project-site visits, internal training, workshops, and participation in company events. The internship is scheduled to start in June and end in August or September, depending on the candidate’s availability. The role is in office Monday through Friday in Long Beach, California. Hourly pay is $24 for undergraduate students and $26 for graduate students.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited university and majoring in Software Development.
- Trained to utilize CAD/BIM standards.
- Ability to work effectively in a highly energetic, multiple-engagement environment.
- Dedication to teamwork, strong work initiative, adaptability to new challenges and ideas, and attention to detail.
Nice To Haves
- Training in Revit and/or AutoCAD.
- FE/EIT.
Responsibilities
- Assist the engineering team with ongoing projects.
- Conduct research and analysis to contribute to project development.
- Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines.
- Contribute to the design process while working directly with the team.
- Participate in prototyping activities to test and validate design concepts.
- Assist with tests to evaluate the functionality and reliability of engineering solutions.
- Work with quality assurance teams to identify and address potential issues.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation.
- Generate reports and summaries communicating project progress.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align work with project goals.
- Participate in team meetings and provide insights and feedback.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance technical skills.
- Seek opportunities for continuous learning and development in the engineering field.
