About The Position

Booz Allen is seeking a Software Development Engineer for its chief technology office engineering team. The role focuses on building the Software-Defined Everything (SDE) platform, enabling Physical AI, Edge, Trusted Environments, and other applications across mission domains to autonomously discover, provision, simulate, and deploy systems. The engineer will help create a new product with autonomy and ownership, designing, developing, deploying, and operating secure, scalable, highly available software services with monitoring, alerting, fault tolerance, and agentic AI integration. The position involves using modern architectural approaches, open-source frameworks, and advanced tools to deliver end-to-end solutions. The engineer will contribute to product design, front-end and back-end development, cloud services, APIs, databases, automated testing, telemetry, canary deployments, and CI/CD practices. The role also calls for collaboration with designers, product managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, and for embedding security and compliance into the development process. The position is hybrid and is listed in McLean, Virginia, with an additional location in Bremerton, Washington. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
