About The Position
Zoom is hiring an engineer for its Trust and Safety Engineering team, which applies AI and machine learning to protect users from abuse and harm across the Zoom platform. The role involves developing and improving AI/ML algorithms and solutions, translating research into scalable systems, and contributing to work with an immediate impact on user safety. The position is hybrid and requires on-site presence four days per week at Zoom’s San Jose, California office; remote arrangements are not available.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional experience with a Master’s degree or PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Proficiency in Python or another relevant programming language.
- Hands-on experience developing and deploying machine learning models, with a solid understanding of ML concepts, algorithms, and techniques.
- Familiarity with deep learning frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, or similar.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with natural language processing (NLP).
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for AI through academic or personal projects, with curiosity about emerging possibilities in the field.
Responsibilities
- Design, implement, and optimize AI/ML algorithms, techniques, and solutions for complex Trust and Safety challenges.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate research findings into scalable engineering solutions aligned with business objectives.
- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and technical presentations to uphold the quality and reliability of engineering solutions.
- Identify opportunities to improve existing systems and propose solutions that enhance performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Stay current with advancements in AI/ML research and engineering and apply emerging knowledge to strengthen technical capabilities.
