Software Development Engineer
About The Position
AMD is seeking a Software Development Engineer to help build integrated marketing technology capabilities as part of a new, collaborative software development team. The role involves designing, building, and delivering applications, automation, and integrations that address marketing and business problems. It is a hands-on engineering position with ownership of defined components or features, contributing across campaign workflows, testing, analytics, AI-enabled capabilities, user experiences, and integrations with existing marketing systems. The successful candidate is a practical, full-stack software engineer who can solve complex technical problems, turn requirements into reliable production solutions, and collaborate with engineering, product, program, and business partners. The role applies emerging technologies, including AI, thoughtfully to practical problems.
Requirements
- Strong full-stack development experience across back-end systems and user-facing applications.
- Strong software-engineering fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, APIs, system design, testing, and modern development practices.
- Experience owning and delivering meaningful components or features within larger software products.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Experience working effectively across technical and nontechnical teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.

- Experience designing, developing, and operating production software applications.
- Experience developing applications, automation, integrations, analytics, or data-driven products.
- Practical experience with AI/ML, automation, or AI-assisted software development.
- Experience with MarTech, AdTech, e-commerce, creative technology, customer-facing platforms, or another integration-heavy environment.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, deploy, and support full-stack software applications and services.
- Own defined components or features from technical design through production delivery.
- Build scalable applications, automation, APIs, user experiences, and integrations supporting marketing workflows.
- Solve complex technical problems and implement important architecture and design decisions within assigned areas.
- Collaborate with Engineering, Product, Technical Program Management, Marketing, Creative, Data, and other partner teams.
- Translate business needs into reliable and maintainable technical solutions.
- Apply AI and automation where they can improve workflows, capabilities, or user experiences.
- Contribute to software quality, reliability, scalability, security, and maintainability.
- Participate in technical design, code reviews, testing, and continuous improvement of engineering practices.
