About The Position

Jabil is seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer to design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions that support manufacturing processes and operational excellence. The role contributes to projects that enhance efficiency, automate workflows, and advance technology across Jabil’s global operations.

The engineer works in a dynamic environment with cross-functional teams and participates throughout the software development life cycle, from conceptualization and design through deployment and ongoing support. The role also includes improving development processes and keeping current with emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional experience in software development.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with front-end development (such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular) and/or back-end development (such as RESTful APIs or databases including SQL Server and MongoDB).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team environment.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using various programming languages and technologies.
• Collaborate with product management, hardware engineering, quality assurance, and other cross-functional teams to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, from conceptualization and design through deployment and ongoing support.
• Write clean, well-documented, efficient code in accordance with best practices and coding standards.
• Perform code reviews to support code quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions and root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend and implement innovative solutions.
