About The Position

Jabil is seeking a talented and motivated Software Development Engineer to join its team. The role involves designing, developing, testing, and deploying high-quality software solutions that support manufacturing processes and operational excellence. The engineer will contribute to projects that enhance efficiency, automate workflows, and advance technology across Jabil's global operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical field.
• At least 3 years of professional software development experience.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, or C++.
• Experience with front-end development (such as JavaScript, HTML, CSS, React, or Angular) and/or back-end development (such as RESTful APIs and databases including SQL Server or MongoDB).
• Familiarity with software development methodologies such as Agile or Scrum.
• Experience with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a team.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications using various programming languages and technologies.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product management, hardware engineering, and quality assurance, to define requirements and deliver robust solutions.
• Participate in the full software development life cycle, from conceptualization and design through deployment and ongoing support.
• Write clean, well-documented, efficient code that follows best practices and coding standards.
• Conduct code reviews to support quality, maintainability, and adherence to architectural guidelines.
• Debug and troubleshoot software issues, providing timely resolutions and root cause analysis.
• Develop and execute unit, integration, and system tests to ensure software reliability and performance.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of development processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Keep up with emerging technologies and industry trends, and recommend and implement innovative solutions.
