About The Position

As a Software Development Engineer in Test II – Mobile Applications at MiniMed, you will help test the next generation of products. This hands-on role requires strong coding, debugging, and critical-thinking skills. MiniMed’s product ecosystem includes wearable medical devices, mobile applications, and back-end services, creating complex end-to-end testing challenges. The role helps ensure reliable system performance before and after release. The position focuses on developing and maintaining automated tests and test frameworks for iOS, Android, and web applications, integrating tests with continuous integration and testing tools, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to verify end-to-end product performance. It also involves determining test coverage based on software requirements and risk, developing test plans and protocols in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements, and partnering with developers throughout Agile sprints. Requirements

A bachelor's degree and a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree with 0 years of experience.
Proficiency in at least one of the following programming languages: JavaScript, Java, Python, C, or C++.
Familiarity with Agile processes and the Atlassian suite of tools.

Nice To Haves

A deep understanding of Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Experience with cross-platform technologies such as Flutter.
Experience developing automated test tools for commercial software products.
Experience collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
Experience working in a regulated industry.

A master's degree in computer engineering, computer science, electronics and communications engineering, electrical engineering, or a related technical field, plus 1 or more years of professional experience in software development or software testing.

Responsibilities

Develop and maintain automated tests for iOS, Android, and web applications, integrating them with continuous integration and testing tools.
Collaborate with software development, product engineering, product marketing, quality, and systems teams to verify end-to-end product performance before and after release.
Use test automation frameworks, including Appium and Selenium.
Design, develop, debug, and implement software test frameworks and automated test scripts.
Determine the appropriate level of testing based on software requirements and risk.
Develop test plans and protocols in accordance with applicable regulatory requirements.
Partner with software developers throughout sprint planning, implementation, and verification.
Contribute effectively in an Agile/Scrum environment.
