About The Position

Craft-Bilt Manufacturing Co. is a mid-sized, family-owned manufacturing company that designs and builds high-quality, affordable home improvements. We are looking for a Software Developer to build and improve applications that support our manufacturing operations. This hands-on role requires problem-solving skills, the ability to work with existing systems, and a willingness to learn. Experience understanding business processes and manufacturing workflows is a plus.

Requirements

• Some hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Experience with React or a similar modern frontend framework.
• Comfortable working with SQL and relational databases.
• A basic understanding of REST APIs and how frontend and backend applications communicate.
• Ability to read and understand existing code and make changes safely.
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Willingness to learn new technologies and improve your skills.
• Ability to work independently while also being comfortable asking questions and collaborating with the team.
• An interest in understanding the business processes behind the software you develop.

Nice To Haves

• Experience or familiarity with manufacturing, production, inventory, purchasing, order processing, accounting, or other business workflows is a plus.
• Developers who are interested in understanding how work actually flows through a business-from customer orders and purchasing, through production and inventory, to shipping and financial transactions.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web applications using Node.js and React.
• Build and work with REST APIs that connect frontend and backend systems.
• Work with SQL databases, including writing queries and working with existing database structures.
• Develop new features and improve existing functionality based on business requirements.
• Work closely with users and team members to understand how business processes work and translate them into practical software solutions.
• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues.
• Work with both frontend and backend code as needed.
• Learn and work with our existing technologies and development practices.
• Help improve internal systems that support manufacturing, operations, and business processes.
