About The Position

Genesis10 is seeking an experienced Java Developer to consult on a high-level initiative focused on developing a scalable framework for expiration management and oversight. In this role, you will help design and build a governed, centralized solution to track expiration dates for various entities, including certificates and licenses, using Java, Spring Boot, and Angular. The objective is to create a single inventory repository with automated tracking, notifications, governance, and reporting capabilities.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field
5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education
Strong hands-on experience with Java (Java 8/11/17 or higher), Spring Boot, RESTful APIs, Microservices Architecture, Angular, JPA / Hibernate, and Apache Tomcat
Strong understanding of Object-Oriented Design, Data Structures, Multi-threading, Design Patterns, and Application Security Best Practices
Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or MySQL
Experience with source control tools such as Git
Strong knowledge of SDLC processes, Agile/Scrum methodologies, and DevOps practices
Hands-on experience in application development, testing, deployment, and production support
Familiarity with both Linux and Windows environments
Experience writing and maintaining automation scripts using Shell, Bash, PowerShell, Python, or similar technologies

Nice To Haves

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps tools
Understanding of SSL/TLS certificates, certificate management, and secure communications
Experience with Ansible for infrastructure automation and application deployment
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
Knowledge of messaging platforms such as Kafka, Solace, RabbitMQ, or JMS
Experience with monitoring and logging tools
Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills
Experience with performance tuning and load testing

Responsibilities

Design, develop, enhance, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java technologies
Develop scalable and resilient Microservices using Spring Boot and related frameworks
Build and maintain responsive web applications using Angular
Design and implement database solutions using JPA/Hibernate and relational databases
Develop high-performance, multi-threaded applications and troubleshoot concurrency-related issues
Participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and support
Perform unit testing, integration testing, and support automated testing initiatives
Analyze and resolve production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive solutions
Collaborate with architects, business analysts, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to deliver high-quality solutions
Ensure application performance, scalability, security, and reliability
Create and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and operational procedures
Support application deployments and production releases across multiple environments
