About The Position

We’re looking for a Junior Developer to join our development team onsite in Nashville, TN. In this role, you’ll help build and maintain applications that support critical parts of Ōnin’s business — from internal operational tools and employee-facing applications to third-party integrations and data workflows. This is a great opportunity for someone with a foundation in programming and web development who wants to grow their skills, solve real-world problems, and build technology that makes people’s jobs easier.

Requirements

• Foundational experience with software or web development through work, internships, coursework, or personal projects
• Understanding of programming fundamentals, web development, and HTTP/API concepts
• Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
• Familiarity with Git or another version-control tool
• Willingness to troubleshoot problems, ask questions, and learn from feedback
• Ability to learn unfamiliar technologies and understand how applications and services interact
• Strong communication and collaboration skills

Nice To Haves

• Exposure to programming languages, web frameworks, REST APIs, cloud platforms, or third-party integrations is a plus
• Curious and interested in exploring existing code, logs, database queries, and APIs
• Able to manage assigned work while collaborating closely with a team

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain web-based applications with support from experienced developers
• Help build and maintain APIs and integrations between internal and third-party systems
• Write SQL queries and work with relational databases and datasets
• Investigate and resolve application issues with guidance from the team
• Write clear, maintainable code and participate in code reviews
• Help improve the performance and reliability of existing applications
• Support reporting processes and data integrations
• Learn from and contribute to technical design discussions
• Gain experience with cloud-hosted applications and services
• Collaborate with developers and business teams to understand needs and build practical solutions
• Participate in daily standups, project planning, and the software development lifecycle
• Maintain technical documentation and build skills across the stack as project needs evolve
