About The Position

The Software Developer position is located in Northern Virginia and offers flexible core hours. The role requires designing, developing, troubleshooting, and debugging complex software applications. The candidate should be passionate about programming and quality, enjoy communicating and working with end-users, and be able to work effectively in a team environment.

The developer will support a team maintaining and enhancing targeting applications, track highly technical data for analytical and troubleshooting efforts, collaborate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles, and develop solutions that improve system performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities. The role uses agile software development methodologies and may include other duties assigned by Project Management.

Requirements

• Ability to obtain and maintain a TS/SCI with poly.
• Bachelor's degree in a closely related field or four years of relevant experience.
• Minimum of three years of experience specific to the skill, plus education.
• Two or more years of experience as a full-stack software developer.
• In-depth experience developing applications using Node.js.
• Experience in backend development and creating APIs.
• Experience deploying applications in a cloud-based environment, such as AWS, Azure, VMware, Docker, or Kubernetes.

Nice To Haves

• Active TS/SCI with poly, with most recent BI/poly dates within the last five years.
• Strong understanding of internet protocols and networking technologies used by Internet Service Providers to provision their networks, including MPLS and Ethernet VLAN.
• Understanding of JavaScript frameworks such as Vue, Angular, or React.

Responsibilities

• Support a team in maintaining and enhancing targeting applications.
• Track highly technical data regularly and work with team members to retain information for analytical and troubleshooting efforts.
• Communicate with team members to clarify requirements and overcome obstacles to meet team goals.
• Develop solutions to maximize system performance, scalability, and distributed processing capabilities.
• Work with development teams using agile software development methodologies.
• Perform other duties as assigned at the direction of Project Management.
