Mujin is seeking Software Developers to join its Warehouse Execution Systems team and advance autonomous robotic systems. The role involves designing, implementing, and testing algorithms that operate in real time across multiple robots, conveyors, and material-handling devices. The applications are safety critical and involve autonomous interaction with an uncontrolled environment. Work is tested and deployed in simulation and in real-world settings using off-the-shelf and in-house robotics hardware. The developer contributes to innovative projects as part of a dedicated team. The position supports scalable warehouse execution system (WES) architectures for real-time decision-making and resource allocation. It develops orchestration logic for inventory flow and order prioritization across automation layers, APIs and integration layers for ERP/WMS systems and automation platforms, and online scheduling algorithms intended to maximize throughput. The role also involves cross-team collaboration to ensure interoperability and troubleshooting complex issues in production environments. The role requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field; experience implementing optimization algorithms for scheduling or resource-allocation problems; familiarity with distributed systems, orchestration logic, and real-time execution monitoring; and C++ and Python programming skills. A master's or PhD, algorithm development and optimization experience, warehouse automation system design, WES or large-scale scheduling experience, and real-time systems experience are preferred. The work involves prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Extended hours may be required. Travel is less than 20%, domestically and internationally.
