About The Position

Peregrine Advisors is hiring a Software Developer to build cloud services in Python that automate a federal agency’s high-volume filing intake. The role starts with creating a document pipeline that moves filings from submission to decision, with accuracy and auditability central to the work. The position is based in the Washington, DC metropolitan area and uses a hybrid work arrangement; commuting cadence varies by assignment. The initial engagement requires U.S. citizenship and the ability to obtain a Public Trust determination. The first project may involve transforming a manual, document-heavy intake process into a pipeline that reads, understands, and routes applications; building cloud document-intelligence services using OCR and AI; adding confidence scoring and decision logic; implementing exact and fuzzy matching and business-rule validation; and designing human-review workflows. The role may change as company and client needs evolve, with the developer moving to where the hardest problems are. The developer will work alongside developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists on work ranging from strategy to implementation. Peregrine supports development across assignments and clients through onboarding, sponsored certifications and continuing education, and rotations across functions. The position is full-time W-2, with a salary of $92,000 to $133,000 per year. The technical assessment is a live Python coding exercise.
